Hours: 10:00am – 3:00pm Days flexible

Business Services Officer
Location: Matlock, Derbys
Hours: 3.5 Hours a day, 3 days a week for six months

Leading To: The SI will be in a good position to apply for future business services and administrative positions both within the council and elsewhere.
Purpose of role:

To provide basic business admin skills within an office environment at Derbyshire County Council.
Skills required:

Basic business admin skills or willingness to learn.
Main Tasks / Activities of this role

Making up information packs

Photocopying & scanning

Setting up simple spreadsheets

Sending out letters, putting up posters & laminating posters

Business Services Assistant
Location: Matlock, Derbys
Hours: 3 days per week 10.00am – 3.00pm
Start Date: TBC
Leading To: The SI will be in a good position to apply for future service assistant positions.
Purpose of role:
-
To provide the Children’s Services at Derbyshire County Council with website maintenance, programming, supporting staff to use IT equipment and software.
Skills required:
-
Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office applications, accuracy and attention to detail, literacy and numeracy skills, ability to comply with and procedures, good communication skills.
Main Tasks / Activities of this role
-
Generally, the role will involve familiarity with straightforward office or other service routines, with some procedural understanding. Job holders follow regular instructions: organisation or planning is essentially about timing and sequencing assigned tasks. They respond to routine queries or circumstances independently.

Specifically, the person would work with the Web team to update and maintain our websites such as the Local Offer, SchoolsNet, and some of the DCC pages. They will also be involved in admin duties such as updating records in our case management systems and setting up meetings.
